Trim Name

Trimming is a string manipulation to remove trailing spaces or a specified number of characters from a string. The Trim Transformation provides a very specific manipulation of the Data Stream.

Early versions of the XMPro Join Transformation Agent prefixed all outgoing attributes with either "L_" or "R_" to indicate the incoming dataset. The Trim Transformation removes this prefix from the attributes.

The Trim Name Transformation is obsolete other than for backward compatibility. New Data Streams should use the Join agent version with prefix configuration.

Details for an example and its configuration can be found in the How to Use section.
