Example
This example Data Stream demonstrates how to use this Context Provider to return asset data from a Cognite database, using OpenID Connect authentication.
Refer to configuration to understand all configuration options of this Agent.
Step 1: Add the Agent
Drag the Cognite Context Provider onto the canvas and rename it. Link the output endpoint to the printer and save the Data Stream.
Step 2: Configure General
Select the Agent and click Configure. Keep the default Collection and polling interval.
Step 3: Configure Settings
Select the authentication type, and the related values:
For ApiKey, specify the api key.
For OpenID Connect, specify the base url, tenant ID, client ID and client secret.
In this example, select OpenID Connect.
Select the project to which you want to connect. In this case, CogniteProject.
Step 4: Configure Output
Select the return type. In this case, select Assets.
Select the columns to return. In this case, select all.
Step 5: Results
Apply the changes, save the Data Stream and publish it.
Let's look at the Live Data View. Observe the asset records are printed every 10 seconds.
