Example
This example Data Stream demonstrates how to use this Agent to update work order information in a Recommendation Alert. This example is designed to work with the Read Recommendation Example to receive Alerts to update via the MQTT Listener.
For the sake of this example, first confirm that Alerts exist that can be closed.
Drag the Update Recommendation onto the canvas, link the input endpoint to the work order data, the output to the printer, and save the Data Stream.
Select the Agent and click Configure. Keep the default Collection.
Select values for the Server Url and Key.
Select the recommendation, version, and rules to monitor. In this case, keep the defaulted version.
Apply the changes and save the Data Stream.
Select the input link and click Configure.
Fill out the Input Map as shown.
Apply the changes, save the Data Stream, and publish it.
Let's look at the results in the Live Data View. The work order data is printed with attributes matching the input mappings. Refresh the Alert to observe the updated work order ID.
